CANTON -- Newcomerstown High picked up a road win with a victory over East Canton in Inter-Valley Conference volleyball action. The Lady Trojans captured the win by scores of 25-12, 25-22, 24-26 and 25-22 to improve to 3-12 overall and 2-7 in IVC play.
Alyson Rexroad led NHS with 30 digs, 15 kills and four aces while Alicia Moore added 32 assists, and 15 points. Erin Burrier finished with 13 kills; Karlee Peach chipped in with 13 points and six kills; and Jayde Bricker contributing 11 points (two aces).

MAGNOLIA -- Ridgewood High scored a sweep of Sandy Valley in Inter-Valley Conference play, winning by 25-19, 25-13 and 25-10 scores.
State leaders for the Lady Generals (12-0) included Erika Micheal with eight points, 10 digs and 49 assists; Laura Frazee with eight hpoints, 15 digs and nine kills; Amanda Lowery with 15 points (seven aces), six kills and three blocks;s Cora Thompson with nine points, five digs and four blocks; Laura Crawford with seven points, 12 kills and four blocks; Allie Dobson with four kills and six blocks; and Morgan McDorman with 13 digs.

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Visiting Indian Valley High suffered a three-set volleyball setback on Tuesday at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy by scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.
For Indian Valley, Harlie Crouse had 16 digs, Ashley Reynolds had nine kills and Bailey Stull had a dozen assists.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood High (13-0) helped to make first year IVC member East Canton's volleyball experience a dismal one as the Lady Generals posted an easy 25-5, 25-16, 25-8 win on Tuesday.
Laura Crawford paced the Ridgewood attack with 10 kills and also showed versatility with a dozen digs. Setter Erika Michael added 11 digs and also dished out 21 assists. Teammate Laura Frazee added seven kills.
Amanda Lowery chipped in with a two blocks and three kills. Eliza Haynes and Morgan McDorman combined for 11 digs, while Allie Bobson added four kills and a pair of blocks.
The Lady Generals also learned that they were ranked 14th in this week's Division III state coaches poll.
NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Make it two wins in a row for the Newcomerstown High Lady Trojans after a hard fought Inter-Valley Conference victory over visiting Strasburg High on Tuesday night.
The Lady Trojans took the win by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-22 and 15-10 in the game clinching game.
"It's a good feeling to get a couple of wins like this...but it was tough tonight," Newcomerstown coach John Dupke explained. "I've been telling the girsl we just need to keep grinding and have a good second half and get some momentum going for the tournament. These back to back wins are a real positive step in that direction."
Alicia Moore tallied 17 points ( six aces), with 34 assists to pace the Lady Trojans (4-12, 3-7 IVC), while Alyson Rexroad added 18 kills, 27 digs and Lydia Lehman contributed 19 digs. Sara Miller and Jayde Bricker each finished with 10 points, while Karlee Peach contributed seven kills and Erin Burrier chalked up eight kills for NHS.
