STRASBURG -- The Ridgewood Lady Generals defeated homestanding Strasburg in straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.

Leading the way for the Lady Generals (14-0 and ranked No. 11 in the OHSVCA state poll) was Amanda Lowery with 10 points, five aces and nine kills and Laura Frazee who added eight points and four kills.

Erika Micheal dished out 26 assists and Allie Dobson tallied four kills and three blocks for the Generals. Morgan McDorman contributed 10 digs while Cora Thompson added eight blocks.

BERLIN -- The Newcomerstown Lady Trojans struggled on the road with a loss to Hiland in Inter-Valley Conference volleyball action.

The Lady Hawks picked up wins by scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 26-24 over the visiting Lady Trojans.

The Lady Trojans (4-13, 3-8 IVC) were led by Alicia Moore with 15 assists; Karlee Peach with 14 digs and Alyson Rexroad who tallied eight kills. Others contributing in the Lady Trojans' effort were Erin Barrier and Marlayna McIntire each adding seven kills.

ZOARVILLE -- Indian Valley High went on the road and suffered a 25-10, 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 Pac-7 setback to host Tuscarawas Valley.

Despite the loss, the Lady Braves (5-12, 5-6 IVC) had their share of solid individual efforts. Ashley Reynolds led with 21 kills. Harlie Crouse had 22 digs. Setter Sydney Kandray handed out 22 helpers.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood High remained unbeaten on the season with a straight three-set sweep of the neighboring Newcomerstown Lady Trojans in a Inter-Valley Conference clash by scores of 25-6, 25-15 and 25-10.

The Lady Generals, improving to 15-0 overall and 12-0 in the IVC, were led in scoring by Erika Micheal with 13 points and she also dished out 37 assists recorded nine digs and added a block. Laura Crawford added 12 points, while Amanda Lowery had eight with Laura Frazee and Cora Thompson chipping in with seven points each.

Defensively, Frazee recorded 19 digs, while both Crawford and Morgan McDorman collected 11 digs to added to Micheal's nine and seven from Thompson. In net play, Allie Dobson led the way with 11 kills and two blocks, while Crawford and Frazee each contributed 10 stops with Crawford adding five blocks. Lowery tacked on three kills and two blocks and Thompson with four stops.

AKRON -- Visiting Indian Valley High pocketed a much needed PAC road win, besting Manchester by scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

The Lady Braves (6-12, 6-6 PAC) got a big effort from setter Sydney Kandray, who delivered 17 assists.

Hitter Ashley Reynolds contributed 14 kills, a pair of blocks and 11 digs and teammate Harlie Crouse added 10 digs.

Manchester's Maggie Huggins recorded 11 kills.

SUGARCREEK --Ridgewood High ran its record to 16-0 with a 25-22, 29-27, 25-21 victory over Garaway in Inter-Valley Conference play.

Stat leaders for the Lady Generals included Laura Frazee with 11 digs and eight kills; Laura Crawford with 22 digs and six kills; Erika Michael with 16 digs and 25 assists; Amanda Lowery with fiv e kills and four blocks; Morgan McDorman with 27 digs and Cora Thompson with nine digs.

The leaders for Garaway included Cassidy Widder with 14 assists, 13 digs and two aces; Courtney Putt with seven kills and 34 digs; Hannah Foster with 12 kills and 12 digs; Sydney Immel with three kills, two blocks and five digs; Abbey Detweiler with 15 digs; Cassie Yoder with 16 digs; and Katie Walter with eight assists, four digs, four kills and two aces.

DOVER --Indian Valley and Ridgewood both fell victim to unbeaten Dover High in prep volleyball action. The Lady Tornadoes beat Indian Valley, 25-8 and 25-19 while upending Ridgewood by 25-19 and 25-19 scores.

Dover is now 20-0 on the season.
