The Newcomerstown Trojans suffered a four-set loss to visiting Sandy Valley, with the Lady Cardinals winning by scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-15.

The Lady Trojans (4-15, 3-10 IVC) were led by Alicia Moore who dished out 41 assists; Alyson Rexroad with 30 digs and 11 kills; Lydia Lehman with 21 digs; and Erin Barrier with 10 digs.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ridgewood High wrapped up the Inter-Valley Conference volleyball championship with a 25-15, 25-8, 15-25, 15-25, 15-7 victory over Tuscarawas Central Catholic.

The Generals (14-0, 18-1), ranked No. 11 in Division III of the OHSVCA state poll, were led by Anna Thompson with 23 assists, 11 points seven digs and four aces, Jenna Tolloti with 26 digs, nine points, five aces and Sarah Varcolla with 16 kills, eight points and two aces.

TCC, ranked No. 15 in Division IV, fell to 13-3 on the season.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Visiting Newcomerstown High dropped a 25-10, 25-19, 25-10 Inter-Valley Conference tilt at Tuscarawas Catholic.

Only the second set was competitive and positive statistics proved hard to come by for the Lady Trojans (4-16, 3-11 IVC).

Setter Alicia Moore did have a dozen assists and teammate Alyson Rexroad provided four kills and 11 digs.

TUSLAW -- The Lady Braves of Indian Valley picked up a win, beating homestanding Tuslaw in three set by scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-12.

The Lady Braves (7-15, 7-7 PAC) were led by Ashley Reynolds with 28 kills and 22 digs. Bailey Stull contributed 12 points and 23 assists and Sydney Kandray tallied 21 assists.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood High capped off an unbeaten Inter-Valley Conference season with an easy 25-14, 25-13, 25-14 win over Hiland.

Hitters Laura Frazee and Laura Crawford combined for 20 kills and Crawford added 10 blocks. Setter Erika Michael provided 25 assists and 10 digs; Morgan McDorman added nine digs and Allie Dobson chipped in four kills and four blocks.

NEWCOMERSTOWN --Visiting Garaway High posted a three-set victory against Newcomerstown, winning the Inter-Valley Conference clash by 25-6, 25-15 and 25-18 scores.

For Garaway (14-8, 11-5 IVC), Courtney Putt collected 15 kills and 17 digs; Hannah Foster had 17 kills, six digs and two blocks; Cassidy Widder tallied 19 assists and 16 digs; Katie Walter had nine assists, five digs and three kills; Cassir Yoder notched 12 digs; Abbie Detweiler had eight digs; and Shannon Miller added three kills.

For Newcomerstown (4-17, 3-12 IVC), Alyson Rexroad collected five kills; Alicia Moore notched 17 assists and two aces; Erin Burrier notched four kills and two blocks; and Lydia Lehman had 12 digs.
