CAMBRIDGE -- Both Indian Valley High cross country teams will be moving on to this week's Division II Regional event as each finished in the top four of their respective district races at Cambridge High School.

The IV boys posted a runner-up finish and the Lady Braves took third. The boys' and girls' districts were divided into two races for each gender.

The Braves competed in Race B, won by West Holmes (29 points). Indian Valley (54), Carrollton (90) and Indian Creek (97) rounded out the advancing teams.

Trevor Ault's second place finish (16:59.47) paced the IV effort. The remainder of the Braves and times were Cody Booth (8th, 17:30.15), Mitchell Giffen (9th, 17:31.60), Evan Menefee (16th, 17:52.82), Bailey McBeth (19th, 18:38.43), Collin Border (25th, 18:38.73), and Brandon Leggett (41st, 19:32.05).

West Holmes' Sam Boyd (16:53.61) cruised to the race win, just six ticks ahead of Ault in 16:53.

River View (40), Dover (87), Claymont (91) and Sandy Valley (97) were the qualifying teams from Race A and River View's Corey Miller (16:53.86) was the individual winner.

The Lady Braves' third place (84) finish in Race B of the girls' district was spearheaded by individual runner-up Paige Saho (18:56.65), who lost out on a district title to Dover's Katherine Lehman (18:55.69) by less than a second.

The remainder of the Lady Braves were Shannon Regula (10th, 20:22.30), Tawney Ault (13th, 20:30.14), Celina Mayforth (23rd, 21:48.97), Emily Baker (36th, 22:47.94), Alexis Pasquinelli (39th, 23:04.48), Lauren Long (41st, 23:08.91).

In addition to the Lady Braves, Race B also saw Dover (31), Claymont (42) and John Glenn (105) advance as teams.

The team qualifiers out of Race A were Carrollton (38), West Holmes (61), Morgan (74) and Sandy Valley (117). Carrollton's Maddie Dunlap cruised to the individual fastest time (19:05.73).

Newcomerstown High just missed out on a regional berth by finishing in fifth place in the Division III District Meet.

The Trojans finished fifth with 149 points, but only the top four teams advanced to the regional in Pickerington. Those teams were Garaway (33), Fort Frye (37), Caldwell (58) and St. John Central (142).

Qualifying as an individual from Newcomerstown was senior Nate Marinucci, who finished 14th overall in 17:28.35.

The rest of the Trojan runners included Garret Mozena (22nd, 18:04.57); Daniel Lovrinic (42nd, 19:26.87); Alex Nay (44th, 19:37.09); Collen Mozena (50th, 20:01.14) and Steven Chilensky (55th, 20:28.98).

The Ridgewood boys finished 10th out of 12 teams in Division III.

The top runner for the Ridgewood boys was Travis Vickers, who finished 29th in 18:41.26).

Other Generals were Dakota Crites (52nd, 20:15.46); Brandon Fyock (67th, 21:36.97); Nathan Schwartz (70th, 21:51.77); Jesse Olinger (71st, 22:03.56); Jared Michael (74th, 22:50.97) and Austin Ellis (76th, 23:26.25).

The lone Ridgewood girl in the event was Madison Anderson, who finished 60th (29:03.87).
