WEST LAFAYETTE -- In Inter-Valley Conference make-up baseball action on Tuesday, the host Ridgewood High outslugged Garaway for a 9-8 victory in eight innings.

The Generals pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to record the hard fought victory.

Brice Hammond delivered the big blow for RHS with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second frame. Senior Ryan Lowe added a double and single, while Tevis Whitt contributed a base hit to record a pair of RBIs for the Generals.

Garaway was paced at the plate by Colin Gerber with a home run, single with two RBIs, with Tucker Boreman chipping in with a pair of singles for the Pirates.

Lowe tossed a complete game for the Generals to collect the pitching win, finishing with six strikeouts and two walks.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Ridgewood High Generals suffered a tough 4-2 setback to host Tuscarawas Central Catholic in Inter-Valley Conference make-up baseball action on Wednesday.

A three-run fourth inning by the Saints keyed the IVC win.

Jared Scolati picked up the pitching win for TCC, working six innings with two strikeouts and one walk. Dillan Shepler took the loss for RHS, with a six inning outing with one walk.

Gage Young belted a home run to pace the Generals' three-hit attack, with Brice Hammond and Trent Harrison adding singles for Ridgewood.

TCC was led by John Burley with a pair of singles.
