PATASKALA -- In her first Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championship race, Newcomerstown freshman Brittney Roth finished 59th in a time of 20:16.05 in the girls' Division III race.

Fellow Inter-Valley Conference foe Garaway had two girls, Rachel Wentworth and Kenzie Widder earn All-Ohio honors. Wentworth finished fifth in 18:58.06 and Widder was 14th in 19:27.91. The Lady Pirates finished deadlocked with McDonald for first place as a team, but based on the sixth runner's finish McDonald claimed first and Garaway second.

In the Division II boys' race, Indian Valley's Trevor Ault finished 95th with a time of 17:21.78.

Tippecanoe claimed the Division II boys team championship with 94 points and Joseph Bistritz of Chagrin Falls was the individual winner with a time of 15:44.37.
