NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Buckeye Trail High's volleyball team continued to roll on Monday as they traveled to Newcomerstown and won in three sets by scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-7.
The Lady Warriors (3-0) had a big night from Karlye Hensley who recorded 14 points, 5 digs, nine kills, and was 18 for 19 serving and three for three passing.
Alexis Wheeler was next on the team in points with 12 adding to her six digs, three kills and a perfect 16 for 16 serving and a 100 passing percentage.
Jennifer Burga used her 28 assists, 11 points, six digs and 14 for 14 from behind the serving line to help Trail pick up the victory. She was also perfect on her passing.
Jenni Carmichael finished with five points, six digs, seven kills, four assists, three blocks, eight of 11 serving and a perfect three for three passing.
Lexe Starr had perfect serving and passing percentages with eight digs, nine kills and seven blocks.
Also contributing for the Lady Warriors was Ashlee Nichols with 11 digs, six kills, and four blocks.
Newcomerstown (1-2) was led by Riley Kellish who had nine digs; Susannah Hall with eight points, and Karlee Peach with eight digs.
MAGNOLIA -- Newcomerstown High suffered a Inter-Valley Conference road setback at Sandy Valley on Tuesday. The Lady Trojans lost in three straight sets by scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-19.
Riley Kellish led NHS with 14 points and 26 digs, while also contributing for the Lady Trojans were Sydni Zufelt who had 11 points, Karlee Peach with 23 digs, Susannah Hall with 18 digs and Jayde Bricker with four kills.
NEWCOMERSTOWN -- East Canton invaded Newcomerstown High and pocketed a three-set Inter-Valley Conference victory on Thursday, posting scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-21.
Jade Bricker and Riley Kellish each had seven kills to lead the Lady Trojans (1-4 overall and 0-2 in the IVC). Karley Peach added seven digs.
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ridgewood High scored a three-set sweep of Hiland in Inter-Valley Conference volleyball action on Thursday, with the Lady Generals winning by 25-9, 25-17 and 25-9 scores.
The Lady Generals (2-0 overall, 1-0 IVC), were led by Laura Crawford with 12 kills, eight digs and four blocks; Eliza Haynes with 13 assists, nine kills and six points (two aces); and Morgan McDorman with 15 points (four aces) and eight digs. Also contributing were Erinn Buchanan with six points (two aces) and three blocks; Katie Leitz with nine digs; Sydney Zinkon with nine assists and Cassie Mladek with three kills.
