GNADENHUTTEN -- Indian Valley High was hard to stop in its home tri-meet on Saturday as they defeated Garaway and Coshocton.
The Braves (4-3) defeated Garaway by a 25-20, 25-23 score and then topped Coshocton, 25-14, 25-19.
Against Garaway, Emily Smith led Indian Valley in assists with 12 while Cayleah Mitchell added two points, five kills and eight digs. Sydney Sayre also finished with eight digs.
Garaway's (1-1) was led by Allison Luneborg with eight kills and seven digs, Sierra Slentz with 12 assists and Abby Detweiler with five kills and seven digs.
Against Coshocton, Smith paced the Braves once again with 14 assists; Kiara Rakestraw led the team in points with six, kills with six and digs with eight; Reagan Love had eight assists and five kills; and Taylor Williams added five points, four kills and six digs.
Maddie Miller and Courtney Guthrie led Coshocton in digs with 15 and 10, respectively and Kennedy Haley ended with six blocks.

SOUTH ZANESVILLE -- In a volleyball quad hosted by Maysville High School Saturday, the Ridgewood Lady Generals went 1-2 defeating Nelsonville York by scores of 25-21, 24-26 and 26-24 while losing to Tuskey Valley by scores of 25-16, 16-25 and 25-16 and dropping a two set sweep to host Maysville by scores of 25-20 and 25-14.
In the Nelsonville York contest Laura Crawford had 18 kills, 10 digs, four blocks and seven points. Eliza Haynes handed out 16 assists had seven kills and 11 digs with Allie Dobson adding eight blocks and six kills. Morgan McDorman had 18 digs, five points, including an ace, with Alexis Prater adding five blocks, Erinn Buchanan six points including an ace and Sydney Zinkon dished out six assists.
Against Tusky Valley, Crawford had 20 digs, eight kills and scored 10 points with Dobson adding five kills, 10 blocks and two points. McDorman contributed 20 digs and two points with Haynes handing out 11 assists with seven digs and five kills.
Buchanan scored four points with an ace and had five blocks, while Zinkon had eight assists, Cassie Mladek, seven kills, Katie Leitz, seven digs and Prater five blocks.
In the Maysville match, Crawford had six kills, 13 digs and scored two points with McDorman adding seven digs, four points (one ace), Zinkon, three points (two aces) and five assists, Haynes seven assists, Leitz five digs and Mladek three kills.
Ridgewood is now 3-2.

The Braves (4-4 overall, 1-2 PAC) had contributions from Taylor Williams who finished with two points, four kills, three blocks and eight digs and Reagan Love with seven assists, three digs and two points. Cayleah Mitchell led the team in digs with 12 and also added three kills.
Triway (5-2 overall, 1-1 PAC) had solid performances from Mary Cornelius, who tallied 10 points and 15 assists, Sara Skeens with 19 kills and 19 digs and Melanie Basinger who added 18 digs. Brooke Drost finished with four assists and two blocks.

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Ridgewood High made themselves at home as they traveled to Tuscarawas Central Catholic and left with a victory with scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 25-18 on Tuesday.
Laura Crawford paced the Lady Generals (4-0 overall, 2-0 IVC) behind her 13 kills, 12 digs, five blocks and 11 points (2 aces).
Morgan McDorman also had an impressive outing as she added up 23 digs and 12 points (3 aces).
The assist leaders for the Lady Generals were Eliza Haynes and Sydney Zinkon with 16. Haynes also finished with 13 digs and six kills while Zinkon added nine points.
Also contributing for Ridgewood was Allie Dobson with seven kills and five blocks and Erinn Buchanan with five blocks.

NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Things were looking good for the Newcomerstown High volleyball team after a first set win at home with Malvern on Tuesday, but the Lady Trojans dropped the next three games and the match by an 18-25, 25-18, 25-14 and 25-16 count.
The Lady Trojans (0-3 IVC) were led by Riley Kellish's 13 kills and 11 digs. Karlee Peach also put up impressive numbers with 15 points, four kills and 19 digs. Jayde Bricker finished with eight points, four kills and nine digs.

CANAL FULTON -- After host Canal Fulton Northwest won the opening set by a 25-9 score, the Indian Valley Lady Braves claimed a 25-19 win in the second set to even the match before Northwest then posted consecutive 25-21 wins to claim a 3-1 win on Thursday.
For Indian Valley (4-5, 1-2 PAC), Emily Smith led the scoring with 11 points, 12 assists and 10 digs. Reagan Love handed out 11 assists; Cayleah Mitchell scored six points to go with four kills and five digs; Taylor Williams notched 12 kills and 13 digs while scoring four points.
Abby Swaino paced the Lady Indians with 15 points and 47 assists. Leah Luttring collected 11 kills; Hayley Macko had 16 digs and Kim Zicketrose chipped in three blocks.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood High recorded a three-set sweep of the Newcomerstown Trojans in Inter-Valley Conference volleyball action Thursday by scores of 25-12, 25-9 and 25-6.
For Ridgewood (5-2, 3-0 IVC), Laura Crawford hammered 16 kills and added 10 blocks while scoring five points; Allie Dobson had seven stops, seven blocks and three points; and Morgan McDorman contributed 14 digs and scored eight points with three aces. Also for the Lady Generals, Sydney Zinkon handed out 15 assists, recorded seven digs and scored five points (two aces), while Eliza Haynes chipped in with 14 assists, seven kills and seven digs and Erinn Buchanan led the scoring with 15 points(one ace).
Karlee Peach paced the Newcomerstown defense with 15 digs, while Susannah Hall had six digs and scored four points.
