The 12th Annual St. Benedict Golf Classic is set for Friday, Sept. 18 at Cambridge Country Club. Rick Bear Memorial Golf Outing at Cadiz CC

The fourth annual Rick Bear Memorial Golf Outing will take place Saturday, Sept. 19 at Cadiz Country Club. The cost for the four-person scramble is $60 per person ($240 per team/includes mulligans). Tryout for OU Zanesville Women's Basketball Team

The Ohio University Zanesville women's basketball team will hold its first tryout on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 11:30 a.m. OUZ and Zane State students are both eligible to play. Please bring a copy of your class schedule and verification of health insurance.

Pumpkin Festival 5K Run/Walk Adds Kids Race

The annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival 5K Run/5K Walk slated Saturday, Sept. 26 at 8:30 a.m. has added a few new events, including a free kids race for youngsters ages 12-under (starting at 10 a.m.) with all youth entrants receiving a ceramic medallion and a mini-pumpkin. All race participants will receive a T-shirt, a smorgasbord of food and the music of DJ Mr. Twister. The entry fee for the race is $25 after Sept. 6 up until race day. Newcomerstown CC Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

The Newcomerstown High cross country team will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 30 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Presale tickets (until Oct. 16) are $7 and tickets at the door are $9. Tickets are available from any cross country runner or in the high school office. Carryout is available. Proceeds benefit the Newcomerstown Cross Country Scholarship Fund.
