NEWCOMERSTOWN -- Sandy Valley disposed of the host Newcomerstown High Lady Trojans in four sets during Inter-Valley Conference volleyball action on Monday.

The Lady Cardinals won the match by scores of 25-21, 26-28, 25-23, and 25-14.

Karlee Peach led the Lady Trojans' effort with 14 points, three blocks while Jayde Bricker added 14 kills with a pair of blocks and Makenize Moner tallied 22 points and handed out 26 assists

MANCHESTER -- In Principal Athletic Conference action, the Indian Valley volleyball team took care of their host, Manchester High on Tuesday, defeating them in straight sets by counts of 25-14, 25-12 and 27-25.

Taylor Williams led the Lady Braves with solid numbers as she put up 11 kills and tallied 16 digs.

Megan Baker also helped pace Indian Valley (6-9 overall; 3-5 PAC) as she notched eight points, eight kills and four blocks.

Cayleah Mitchell added seven points, seven kills and nine digs while Emily Smith handed out 11 assists and scored eight points for the Lady Braves.

The Lady Panthers were led by McKayla Kotsalieff who totaled seven points and seven kills.

Also joining the action for Manchester (2-14 overall; 0-8 PAC) was Jenna Williams with three blocks and 11 digs; Jordan Campbell with 19 assists; and Ashley Edwards with three blocks.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ridgewood High delivered a home win on Tuesday over their Inter-Valley Conference opponent Hiland High that came in straight sets.

The Lady Generals conquered Hiland by scores of 25-17, 25-6 and 25-14.

Laura Crawford amazed as she turned in 15 kills, 15 digs, 12 points (2 aces) and six blocks to pace RHS.

Also making an impact for Lady Generals (11-2 overall; 9-0 IVC) was Morgan McDorman who tallied 10 digs and 12 points.

Handing out 13 assists was Eliza Haynes, who also added seven digs and four kills for Ridgewood, while Allie Dobson finished with seven kills and five blocks while teammate Sydney Zinkon poured in 11 points (1 ace), 11 assists and seven digs.

Cassie Mladek and Erinn Buchanan both contributed three blocks each for the Lady Generals.

CANTON -- Tuesday's Inter-Valley Conference match at East Canton High lasted five sets but Newcomerstown High was unable to pull-off the win as they fell by scores of 25-9, 19-25, 20-25, 25-22 and 15-4.

With the road setback the Lady Trojans slip to 2-14 on the year.

Riley Kellish tallied 15 points and 18 digs while teammate Jayde Bricker added 10 kills for the Lady Trojans.

WEST LAFAYETTE -- In a marathon five-set match Thursday the visiting Tuscarawas Central Catholic Lady Saints outlasted the host Ridgewood Lady Generals for a 3-2 Inter-Valley Conference victory.

The Lady Generals won the opener by a 25-23 score, but the Lady Saints responded with back-to-back wins by scores of 25-23 and 25-20 in the next two sets. Ridgewood answered in the fourth set with a 25-21 win to force the fifth and deciding set which TCC captured by a 15-7 score.

For Ridgewood, Larura Crawford slammed 34 kills, recorded 24 digs and scored 11 points. Eliza Haynes handed out 27 assists, recorded 20 digs, scored 12 points with four aces and had five kills. Morgan McDorman added 25 digs on defense, while Allie Dobson had seven kills and 10 blocks.

Also for the Lady Generals, Erinn Buchanan scored four points with an ace and had 12 blocks with Sydney Zinkon dishing out 17 assists, Cassie Mladek added five kills and Autumn Brown chipped in with six blocks.

WOOSTER -- In Principals Athletic Conference play Thursday, Wooster Triway defeated the visiting Indian Valley Lady Braves in three straight sets by scores of 25-18, 27-25 and 25-17.

Leading the Lady Braves in scoring was Ashley Tschudy with nine points while Reagan Love added seven points and handed out 17 assists. Taylor Williams had 12 digs on defense, while both Tschudy and Williams had four kills with Tschudy adding a pair of blocks. Love also recorded a block in net action.

Triway was also victorious in both the freshman and junior varsity matches.

MALVERN -- Host Malvern swept past the visiting Newcomerstown Lady Trojans in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-7 in Inter-Valley Conference play on Thursday.

For Newcomerstown (2-15), Riley Kellish had six kills, Brea Garretson had five kills and Keegan Eggleston had nine points with a pair of aces.
