MIDVALE -- Salem beat host Indian Valley at its own game to overcome the challenge of a road playoff game and advance to week 12 with a 21-6 victory in Division IB, Region 13 quarterfinal action on Saturday night.

The Quakers overpowered the Braves and used big runs to keep the clock running and outlast the No. 4 seed in Region 13. Cooper Bezeredi led the rushing attack with 143 yards and a score on 16 carries.

Brady Cotsmire did what he could to keep the Braves in it, throwing for 104 yards and running for 85 more. However, his three interceptions proved costly and allowed the Quakers to ice the victory. Cory Carlisle scored the lone Indian Valley TD with a five-yard run in the fourth quarter.
