Ridgewood 53, Dover 43
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Ridgewood improved to 7-2 on the season with a 53-43 non-conference win over the visiting Dover Lady Tornadoes Monday.
The Lady Generals jumped out to a 18-8 lead the opening quarter and then each squad scored nine points the second round as Ridgewood took a 27-17 lead to the locker room at the halftime break.
Ridgewood followed the intermission with a 17-13 scoring edge the third round to extend the lead to 44-30, but Dover out scored the Lady Generals 13-9 the final eight minutes to provide the 53-43 final.
Erinn Buchanan led three Lady Generals scoring in double figures with 12 points. Audrey Tingle and Morgan McDorman followed with 10 points each.
Dover was paced by Jordan Keiser and Zoey Wisintainr with 10 points each.
The Dover JV posted a 38-31 win in the preliminary contest Monday.
Tusky Valley 63, Indian Valley 28
ZOARVILLE -- Host Tusky Valley scored in double digits each of the four quarter to roll to a 63-28 win over the visiting Indian Valley Lady Braves Wednesday.
The host Lady Trojans managed a slim 10-7 lead at the close of the opening quarter, but then erupted for 18 points the second round, while limiting the Lady Braves to just six to take a 28-13 lead to the halftime break.
Tusky Valley continued the onslaught following the intermission out scoring Indian Valley 21-7 the third to up the margin to 49-20 and coasted to the win with a 14-8 scoring advantage the final eight minutes to provide the 63-28 final.
Indian Valley managed just 8-of-30 from the floor and added 12-of-22 from the foul line. Megan Baker and Courtney Mizer led the Lady Braves in scoring with eight points each with Kiarra Rakestraw adding six. Indian Valley had just two assist, but managed 10 steals with Rakestraw grabbing eight. Indian Valley suffered with 47 turnovers.
Tusky Valley was 27-of-62 from the field and tacked on just 6-of-17 from the bonus line. Stewart and Bosten Mckinney paced the Lady Trojans with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Hall added nine and Kuykendall followed with eight. The Lady Trojans dished out four assists and collected 16 steals.
Indian Valley posted a 24-23 rebounding advantage with Rakestraw and Baker grabbing six caroms each.
