Wheeling Park collected the victory on Monday afternoon during the Meadowbrook Invitational at the Cambridge Country Club.

The Patriots tallied 325 points to slip past runner-up host Meadowbrook with 330, with Ridgewood next with 342 followed by Maysville with 388.

Jacob Nickell of Wheeling Park captured medalist honors with 75 to pace the winners' effort along with Jared Jorden 76, Ryan Payne 87, Garrett Bopp 87, Lydia Simon 91, and Dorothy Romanek 99.

Leading the Colts was Tanner Hewison with 76 followed by Trey Singleton 78, Devin Webster and Tucker Rogers each finished with 88s. Abe Frizzell and Dylan Webster were sidelined with injuries for Meadowbrook.

Brice Dennis paced Ridgewood with 79 along with Mason Waycaster 81, Palmer Erb 88, Adam Matusik 94, Trey Stoffer 95 and Ryan Zincon 105.

Maysville was led by Makyla Lewellen with 79, Luke Morrow shot 86, James Bradley 101, Jacob Riggle 122.


NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Indian Valley High girls' golf team dropped a tough road loss on Monday to New Philadelphia High by a score of 189-193.

Olivia Shaw of Indian Valley was the match medalist shooting a nine-hole total of 40. Other Lady Brave scores include Makayla Keathley (43), Kiera Brown (52) and Mckenzie Morrison (58).

Kayla Dyer was the low score for the Lady Quakers shooting a 45 while Sarah Hall shot a 46, Allie Jurkovic (47) and Kiley Dyer (51).


WEST LAFAYETTE -- Host Newcomerstown High struggled in tri-match golf action Tuesday at Hickory Flats Golf Course.

River View captured the victory with a team score of 163 followed by Danville with 172 with the Trojans in third place with 199.

Jake Moore of the Black Bears claimed medalist honors with a round of 37 for the winners.

Leading the Trojans effort was Bailey Guy with 45 followed by Levi Kilpatrick 47, Brandon Cutshall 53, Thurman Gibson 54, Kayla Gibson 55 and Kaden Shepherd 57.


WEST LAFAYETTE -- Ridgewood High struggled to a third place finish in girls' prep golf action Wednesday at River Greens Golf Course.

Tri-Valley took first place with a team score of 170, followed by River View with 199 and the Lady Generals third with 229.

Brianna Brady led the RHS effort with 54, along with Sadie Wilson 56, Bethany Shuck 57, Hallie Reed 62 and Tyra Reed with 63.

BOLIVAR -- Strasburg High emerged victorious in the Inter-Valley Conference Postseason Tournament at Wilkshire Golf Course on Thursday.

The Tigers finished with a 312-stroke total, nine better than runner-up Garaway's 221 score. Ridgewood (333) finished in third place followed by Hiland (335), Malvern (337), Sandy Valley (341), Tuscarawas Central Catholic (366) and Newcomerstown (375).

Garaway's Brevin Weaver earned medalist honors with a three-over par 75 total, with Ridgewood's Brice Dennis as the runner-up at 76. Three Strasburg golfers - Dylan Tucker, Mitch Neidnthal and Jarrett McCracken - all shot 77.

Backing Dennis for Newcomerstown were Mayson Waycaster (80), Ryan Zincon (86) and Adam Matusik (91).

Thurman Gibson was Newcomerstown's low man with a 90 followed by Brandon Cutshall (94), Bailey Guy (95) and Kaden Shepherd (96).

ZOAR -- Ridgewood High participated in the Tri-County Girls Golf League Post-Season Tournament at Zoar Village Golf Club on Thursday.

The Lady Generals finished with a team score of 440, while Dover (348), Beaver Local (357) and Louisville (364) led the pack finishing as the top three teams in the tournament.

Pacing Ridgewood (15-20) was Sadie Wilson who shot an 18-hole total of 94 and received First Team South Division honors. Other Lady General scorers include Tyra Reed (112), Bethany Shuck (115) and Hallie Reed (119).

Jordan Vanmeter of Minerva earned the Tournament Medalist honors as shooting a 74.


WEST LAFAYETTE -- Meadowbrook High took third place in the Coshocton Eastern District Open Golf Tournament held on Saturday at River Greens Golf Course.

Strasburg emerged with the top spot with 296 followed by Tuscarawas Valley with 312 for runner-up with the Colts at 312 for third place. Garaway (313) took fourth place with Hiland (320) next to round out the top five in the team standings.

Ridgewood grabbed ninth place with 326, Indian Valley finished 12th with 340 and Newcomerstown placed 20th with 379.

Dylan Tucker of first place Strasburg earned medalist honors with 69 for the event.

Brice Dennis led RHS with 74, Mason Waycaster 75, Trey Stoffer 88, Adam Matusik 89 and Palmer Erb 92.

Indian Valley was paced by Jarrett Helter with 76, Dalton Burcher 79, Austin Rummell 90, Andrew Gazdik 95 and Mason Rummell 104.

Newcomerstown got 94s from both Levi Kilpatrick and Brandon Cutshall, Bailey Guy 95, Thurman Gibson 96, Kaden Shepherd 99.
