UHRICHSVILLE -- Indian Valley High finished third, Ridgewood was fifth and Newcomerstown was eighth at the Jeff Arthurs Invitational hosted by Claymont High on Saturday.
Turning in an individual win for Indian Valley was Brandon Leggett in the 110-meter hurdles (15.45) and he also finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles(44.56). Also winning was the Braves' shuttle relay team (1:03.32) and the 1600-meter relay squad (3:37.55).
Other individuals placing in the top four for the Braves were Cody Booth, second in the 3200-meter run (11:06.72); Nick Haga, second in the high jump (6-02); Garret Mozena, third in the 800-meter run (2:07.31) and third in the high jump (5-10); Zach Love, third in the pole vault (13-0), Caleb Hostetler, fourth in the triple jump (35-3.5); and Bronson Phillips, fourth in the pole vault (12-6).
For Ridgewood, Jhett Slusser was second in the 300-meter hurdles (43.68); Javon Merrill, was fourth in the long jump (18-01.5) and Anthony Harmon was fourth in the discus (121-7). The Generals' 400-meter relay team (Blake Craigo, Kelley Michael, Merrill, Slusser) was second in 45.95 and the shuttle hurdle relay squad (Ian Schwab, Tyler Caudy, Jason Stubbs, Isiah Lamineck) was third in 1:09.36.
For Newcomerstown, Ryan Stevens won the pole vault with a vault (14-0) and Dylan Garretson finished second (13-06) while Jacob Robinson was third in the 3200-meter run (11:09.55).
