WEST LAFAYETTE -- A standout performer on the track for the last four seasons at Ridgewood High in senior Michael Kelley has chosen a landing spot to continue both his athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.
Kelley recently signed a letter of declaration to attend Cedarville University to continue his education and join the Yellow Jackets track program.
Located in southwest Ohio, Cedarville University is an accredited, Christ-centered, Baptist institution with an enrollment of 3,760 undergraduate, graduate, and online students in more than 100 areas of study. Founded in 1887, Cedarville is recognized nationally for its authentic Christian community, rigorous academic programs, strong graduation and retention rates, accredited professional and health science offerings, and leading student satisfaction ratings.
Kelley is a former state qualifier/placer as part of the Generals 4x100 and 4x200 relays teams and has been a four-year lettermen with the RHS track team, and was also a two-year lettermen for the Generals football team.
"I'm very happy for Michael he's just a great kid," Slusser offered. "He was a on our state championship relay team as a sophomore. Just a good student, and a very hard worker. I'm sure he will excel at the next level as well."
